About Me

Over the past 25 years, I’ve struggled with chronic fatigue, controlling my weight, and finding balance in my life. I have searched for answers and solutions to my health issues to create the best, most balanced life I could possibly have. Making some gradual, yet deliberate, changes to my diet and lifestyle made an enormous difference in how I felt. I have figured out that following a gluten-free lifestyle helps me sustain these healthy changes and I’m here to help you figure out what works for you!

My passion led me to go back to school to become a Certified Health Coach. I want to inspire and guide you on your health and wellness journey and assist you with reaching your personal health goals. I received my training from the Institutefor Integrative Nutrition®, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

I’ve learned that it’s not all about the food you put on your plate, it’s also about striking a balance in your personal and professional life. This involves relationships with family and friends, career satisfaction and work environment, physical activity and spirituality and how all of these directly affect how you feel physically and emotionally and what you eat.

The quote, “One person’s food is another person’s poison”, means that there is no “one size fits all” approach to health and wellness. I will show you how small and consistent changes over time will net positive long-term results.

After graduating from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in 1986 with an Associate Degree in Science,  I went on to receive my BS in Health Science from Northeastern University in Boston, MA in 1989.

I live in the Harrisburg, NC just outside Charlotte with my wonderful husband of 25 years, Tom and I’m the mother of two sons, ages 20 and 17. I am fortunate to work as a dental hygienist at Holistic Dental Centers in Cornelius, NC two days a week, which allows me time to dedicate to my health coaching practice.
